Peyronie's disease (also referred to as Peyronie’s, PD, Peyronie’s disorder, or penile curvature disease) is a urological condition characterized by the development of fibrous scar tissue, or plaques, in the tunica albuginea of the penis. These plaques can cause penile curvature, pain during erections, and, in some cases, erectile dysfunction. Current treatments consist of injections, traction therapy, vacuum therapy, and surgery.
