Questions to ask your urologist

Good questions can make a short appointment much more useful.

The goal is to leave with clarity about phase, severity, treatment fit, and realistic expectations.

Confirm the diagnosis

  • Do you think this is Peyronie's disease?
  • Does this seem active or stable?
  • Do I need ultrasound or other imaging?

Clarify what matters most

  • Which finding matters most in my case: curvature, shortening, plaque, narrowing, hinge effect, pain, or erection quality?
  • Is my erection quality part of the treatment plan?

Choose the next step

  • What options fit my situation right now?
  • Which options should wait until the disease is stable?
  • What outcome is realistic from the next step?

Know when to follow up

  • What should I monitor over the next few months?
  • When should I come back or seek reassessment?
  • Are there symptoms that would change the plan sooner?

Next step

Prioritize phase, main clinical problem, current options, and realistic outcome.

Most useful answers cluster around four things: where you are in the disease, what the main problem is, what fits now, and what to expect next.
